I will recommend that you use VMware rather than VirtualBox, but either is fine for this class.

VMware

• VMware Workstation Pro for Windows and Linux or VMware Fusion for Mac are now available for free for all users
• More information and downloads for Fusion and Workstation
  • You will have to create an account
• Or I think you can download from Seneca MyApps?
• If you're using a Mac, you might possibly need to use an ARM processor distribution for guest OS installation?

VirtualBox from Oracle

• Used to be the only "free" option, even though there are some licensing restrictions.
